Snip ABC Program
UPDATE: As of September 2017, our Snip ABC program funded by Florida Animal Friend has ended. Contact us anyway and we may be able to provide assistance on a limited basis if funding is available.
Our Snip ABC program encourages the spay and neuter of “All Bullies and Chihuahuas”. Funds from this program help reduce overpopulation of the dog breeds that have the highest intake and euthanasia rates in South Florida shelters. Ultimately, this will help save the lives of hundreds or even thousands of dogs and help keep homeless dogs off the streets. The program is funded by a 2016-2017 Florida Animal Friend, Inc. grant.
Snip ABC will fix dogs that fall under the bully or chihuahua breed classifications for $20. Dogs that are included in the “Bully breed” group include the American Bulldog, Boston Terrier, Bull Mastiff, Bull Terrier, English Bulldog, French Bulldog, Boxer, and pit bull-type mixes.
Florida Animal Friend, Inc. grants are funded by sales of the Official Florida Animal Friend Spay and Neuter license plate, available through the Florida Department of Motor Vehicles. Through the sales of these auto tags, the money raised helps organizations like ours increase their spay and neuter surgeries to help animals that otherwise might never get "snipped".

Our goal to use our awarded funds is complete and we fixed over 100 at-risk dogs in Miami. Competition for this award is high and we were one of only 23 organizations throughout the State of Florida to receive this prestigious grant in 2016. We feel extremely happy and proud to work with Florida Animal Friend and make a difference in our community.
